About the Course
In this course we look at the basics of futures contracts from the point of view of those traded on the CME. Topics covered are futures contract specifications, fundamental and technical analysis, options on futures, risk management and floor trading.
It’s a short course covering all topics in brief.
Much of this material was written in the early 2000s, which as far a electronic trading is concerned, is about 1000 years ago. Some of the lessons talk about the pits (the floor) and hand signals. These things are now extinct as all trading has moved online. Still, it’s interesting to look back over older material to gain a little perspective on how things work.
